The band have two experienced callers, one of whom is a qualified Scottish dance instructor, and both are experienced with groups of all ages and can help dancers of all abilities.

The Caesarean Ceilidh Band was formed in 1981 after the success of barn dances organised by the Jersey branch of CAMRA; the band performed in public for the first time in October of that year. Comprised then mainly of musicians from Helier Morris and The Jersey Lilies (Jersey's two Morris dancing sides), the Caesarean Ceilidh Band first played under a variety of names including 'The Jersey Bean Crock and Windbreakers'! They became steadily more popular - and by 1983, the band had progressed to playing on a regular basis under their current name. The musicians in the Caesarean Ceilidh Band today have been playing together for several years, and some have been with the band since its inception.

The Caesarean Ceilidh Band can be booked for fundraisers (both private and public), birthday parties, weddings and any other celebrations. Their events are suitable for people of all ages, and both young and old alike will have fun. The experienced callers ensure that everyone can follow the dances, walking them through the steps beforehand and continuing to explain what to do during the dance.
