Guest teacher Markéta Pospíšilová is running a masterclass for advanced level ballet students in Jersey on Wednesday 20th November.

About the teacher
Originally from Ostrava, Czech Republic, Markéta began her career after studying at the Janáček Conservatory and later became a soloist at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre. She performed key roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Swan Lake, earning a Thalia Award nomination. In 2015, she joined Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, performing under Jean-Christophe Maillot and expanding her repertoire with works from top choreographers. Since 2020, Markéta has worked as a freelance dancer and ballet instructor, collaborating with companies like Ballet Am Rhein and Ballet National du Rhin, while also serving as ballet master at DJKT.
Location: Fort Regent - once you enter the building, go to the left and head towards the basketball courts; you will see the Ballet d'Jèrri sign outside the studio
Timings: 18:00 - 19:15; doors at 17:30 - arriving 15-30 minutes before the class starts to warm up and stretch is recommended
Suitable for: All ages, but please bear in mind that this class will be geared towards students at an advanced technique level
Wear: Form-fitting clothes that show your lines and do not restrict movement, and soft ballet shoes (pointe shoes are not necessary but you can bring them if you wish)
