During the day on Saturday 10th May, Lindy Hop Jersey dancers will show you round some of the sights of our Island. We have amazing historical sites stretching from the neolithic period up to WWII, including German fortifications with great views over our beautiful beaches.

What is Liberation Day?
After 5 long years of being occupied by German forces during WWII, Jersey was liberated by the British on 9th May 1945. This is celebrated each year as the Island's national holiday: Liberation Day. The Government of Jersey organises a commemoration service and festivities including live bands, performances, dancing, and stalls in the centre of St. Helier.
