Lindy Hop Jersey: Liberation 80 Sunday Fun!
2025 is the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey, so Lindy Hop Jersey is making a special effort to have a three day weekend of dancing - and they'd love you to join the party!
Following the Liberation 80 evening of dinner and dancing on Saturday 10th May, Lindy Hop Jersey will be hosting more live music or an afternoon tea dance, most likely in the west of the Island.
More details to follow. In the meantime, please email Lindy Hop Jersey to register your interest and to receive updates.
What is Liberation Day?
After 5 long years of being occupied by German forces during WWII, Jersey was liberated by the British on 9th May 1945. This is celebrated each year as the Island's national holiday: Liberation Day. The Government of Jersey organises a commemoration service and festivities including live bands, performances, dancing, and stalls in the centre of St. Helier.
