Motion - Live Performance Inspired by Art

A collaboration between CCA Galleries International, Ballet d'Jèrri, and artist Kay Le Seelleur Ara, this special event marks the closing of Kay's solo exhibition, 'Curiosity Didn’t Kill the Cat'.

Choreographed by Tabitha Dombroski who has created Motion specifically for the CCA Galleries International gallery space, the performance explores space and distinctive movement qualities evoked by Kay Le Seelleur Ara’s solo exhibition of drawings and paintings. Delving into the dancers' inner motivations and evoking emotive states for an intimate audience, Dombroski provides a guided tour through the gallery with movement artists bringing the images of the painter to life.

Motion blurs the traditional boundaries of stage and audience, fostering a sense of safety, connection, vulnerability, and inclusivity.
