In this workshop, through childlike curiosity and playful games, you will explore Laban's principles to discover new spatial pathways, relationships and dynamics.

Emily, Founder of SOMA Jersey, discovered dance in her 30s whilst studying for an MA - immersing herself in the work of Rudolf Laban and Joan Skinner (SRT). A drama teacher by profession, Emily has had no professional dance experience or ballet training, and is uncomfortable with the concept of learning 'steps'. She believes passionately in everyone's innate capacity to move expressively and that discovering this is one of life's great joys.
