Ever fancied learning some Cuban salsa? The perfect opportunity awaits you this summer with a dynamic and exhilarating Rueda de Casino beginner's class, hosted every Thursday evening throughout July (beginning on the 11th). With the potential to extend into August, this series promises an hour of immersive dance instruction and guidance each session, led by experienced teachers Ann Dove and Fraser, who run Salsa & Rueda Jersey.
Rueda de Casino, a popular form of Cuban salsa, involves dancing in a circle (the Wheel) and frequently changing partners, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. It's not just about the steps but the joy and excitement of dancing together in a group, making it an ideal way to dive into the world of Cuban salsa.
The beginner's class is designed to get you up to speed, ensuring you can eventually join the improver/intermediate group that has been thriving for a couple of years now. This more experienced group also meets every Thursday evening, providing a continuous opportunity for growth and enjoyment in the art of Cuban salsa.
No prior experience or dance partner is required. Just come along with a willingness to learn and have fun!
