No Strings Attached? Audition for Avenue Q with the JADC!

March 28, 2025

It won't suck to be you… if you audition for Avenue Q!

The Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club (JADC) is bringing the hilarious and boundary-pushing Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q to the stage in October 2025 - and they're looking for cast members!

This laugh-out-loud show, co-directed by Kim Rainbow and Jennie Crocker, follows Princeton, a fresh-faced college graduate struggling to find his purpose in the real world. Think Sesame Street… but all grown up and with an R-rated twist!

While Avenue Q isn’t a traditional dance-heavy musical, movement and choreography play an essential role in bringing the show’s unique puppet characters to life. Performers will need to master expressive physicality, synchronising their movements with the puppets to create seamless and engaging performances. From upbeat ensemble moments to comedic character interactions, the choreography enhances the storytelling, making every number burst with energy and personality. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or simply comfortable moving on stage, this show offers a fun and dynamic challenge!
